Warping Young Minds, Hamas and Cartoon Characters (Bugs Bunny Look-A-Like)

A TV program called "Pioneers of Tomorrow" airs on the terrorist group Hamas' Al Aqsa TV channel of Palestine. The program is aimed at young children and teaches them the Hamas version of "values" when it comes to the world and Israel. The newest broadcast involves a character that looks like Bugs bunny who tells a young girl, that he will "bite and eat" the Jews and the Danes. The Danes are considered criminals and infidels because of the cartoon controversy.

The use of cartoon characters in Hamas' indoctrination efforts has been ongoing for several months. The program is hosted by a girl, Saraa and a costumed animal sidekick. The first was Farfur, a mouse that resembled Mickey Mouse who was killed by the Israelis. Farfur's character was actually killed off because the Disney company threatened to sue the station over the use of the character. The next character was a bee, Najul, who died after an illness. Of course, the bee could have been saved but the Israeli blockade prevented the delivery of needed medicine.

The newest character is Assud, the rabbit, who wants to free the Al Aqsa mosque from the control of the Israelis. There has already been talk of how the rabbit may soon be martyred for the sake of Allah. Saraa assures Assud that 100,000 other Saraas (other young children) will take his place.

What we have to realize is that terrorism is not always about the act but starts with the ideology. This type of propogation and indoctrination of young children's minds is nothing more than an act of mental cruelty. This is another example that terrorism is not just an isolated incident but how people are raised to view the world. They then believe that the only way to deal with the world is through violence.
